Wir hatten als Gruppe von Freund*innen (13 Personen) eine wundervolle Zeit in der Villa Mimosa. Das Haus und das Anwesen sind mit allem ausgestattet was man für eine gute Zeit benötigt und Simone war steht's äußerst zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Uns hat es an nichts gefehlt und wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Uneingeschränkte Empfehlung für die Villa Mimosa und Simone als Gastgeber :)

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt
Simone war ein sehr freundlicher und angenehmer Gastgeber. Das Haus, Garten und Pool sind super schön und gut gepflegt. Die Ausstattung ist perfekt. Simone war immer zu erreichen und gab uns viele Tipps. Die empfohlene Köchin zauberte zwei wunderbare Abendessen für uns. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen sicher wieder.

Grazie ancora per l'accoglienza!
Bella, accogliente e ben curata queste le caratteristiche della casa vacanza “Villa Mimosa” dove abbiamo trascorso una settimana di relax con un gruppo di amici e bambini. Simone è host molto gentile e ben organizzato che ci ha supportato per tutto il tempo trascorso in Villa. All’interno della casa ci sono ampi spazi che ci hanno permesso di fare numerose attività: biliardo, biliardino, pranzi etc. Le camere sono molto grandi e i numerosi bagni permettono a ciascuno di avere la propria privacy. L’esterno è il punto forte di questa soluzione con lo splendido giardino e piscina molto apprezzato dai grandi e dai piccoli. All'esterno il parco offre spazi per chi vuole dedicarsi ad attività come pilates, leggere un buon libro tra la natura, sfruttare il barbecue per una buona cena.

We are already planning a return visit!
We had a wonderful time at Villa Mimosa! It is a beautiful house with gorgeous views of the Tuscan countryside. It has a lovely family feel. It is very well equipped for large groups. The pool is perfect. It is immaculately kept and there is lots of space around it for relaxation. Simone is an excellent host; he gave us very detailed instructions to help us find the house, a very helpful tour and was on hand for queries during our stay.

We had a perfect week
We had a perfect week in the villa! Simone and his family greeted us warmly and were always available for us. we received great recommendations. especially the recommended cook, who we booked for two days, was really great! The kitchen is well equipped and everything was clean. the pool and the entire area were very well maintained. In order to avoid traffic jams, we spontaneously checked out earlier, and that wasn't a problem at all! we would come back anytime and highly recommend the villa. thanks for everything simon! we had a great time

The house and grounds are beautiful
Simone was a fantastic host. We stayed at Villa Mimosa for a week with family friends and our six children and it was perfect. He introduced us to a wonderful chef for some homemade Italian dinners and our children loved the swimming pool and other amenities. The house and grounds are beautiful and Simone was always responsive and proactive to make sure we had a great stay. I hope we will be able to return soon!

The gardens and pool were spectactular
The villa was everything we imagined it would be! The gardens and pool were spectactular. The house and outside property had many good places to sit and chat with people in small groups as well as good places to gather with a larger group. The extra building with foosball was great for our teenagers. The recreational amenities were perfect for many in our group--especially the foosball, ping pong, billiards. Unfortunately, it was too hot to take advantage of the bicycles and the trampoline. The pool was especially great due to the heat. We appreciated the fans located throughout since the villa does not have air conditioning. Simone was very helpful and stopped by more than once during the week to see how we were faring. The two extra refrigerators in the foosball building were put to good use. Our whole family of 16 had a wonderful time and would recommend Villa Mimosa to any other group of people!

Your family can feel proud of what you have done with the place.
This Villa exceeded all expectations. Our group of 14 had plenty of space. We enjoyed family dinners in different house locations. Everything seemed to work well. The water pressure for showers was excellent. The furnishings were top of the line. The pool provided welcome relief from the heat. The grounds and flowers were beautiful. It felt like a home to us and Simone was always available by text if we needed anything. Their were lots of game activities that everyone enjoyed. Simone even arranged for a chef for some meals at the Villa. It was our best family vacation in years. Thanks for being such a super host.

Simone ist ein sehr freundlicher und hilfsbereiter Gastgeber. Das Haus und der riesige Garten mit Pool sind so angelegt, dass sich das Anwesen gut für einen Urlaub mit Familie eignet. Die Küche war gut ausgestattet. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit.

We have LOVED our stay at Villa Mimosa.
We were 11 adults and had the most amazing week. We will definitely be coming back! Simone is a super host, collecting some of us from the airport, staying up late to greet us on arrival. Always on hand to answer questions and offer recommendations. Also so lovely and friendly. The Villa itself is fantastic, it feels even more spacious than the photos. There are multiple places to relax inside and outside, so you’re never on top of one another. It was super clean and had all of the amenities needed. The outside areas are beautifully kept. We loved using the fire bbq and pizza oven (get tips from Simone as it isn’t super easy to use pizza oven). The pool area set in the olive groves is so relaxing and we loved that it was a saltwater pool (rather than chlorine). We enjoyed visiting Lari (recommend the gelataria and restaurant reccomended by Simone) which is a 40 min walk or 5 min drive away. I cannot recommend this villa enough!

It’s a very special place
We loved our stay at Villa Mimosa! It was quiet, peaceful, and so beautiful. Simone and his family put so much care into their villa and it really shows. Simone is great to communicate with and has lots of recommendations. The kitchen was extremely well equipped and a joy to cook in! We were a group of friends and we were very comfortable — the beds were great and there was lots of space. We also had the most beautiful surroundings. We always felt safe and it was easy to drive around. Lari is also a very sweet little town. We’re all ready to plan our next trip back to Villa Mimosa — we hope to return for years to come! It’s a very special place.

Feels like home
Villa Mimosa is a wonderful place! The house is very grand, but quickly feels homely, with spacious rooms and a large and bright kitchen area where we spent a lot of our time. We enjoyed wandering the grounds and, especially, the swimming pool area which is spectacular - both the pool itself and its beautiful surroundings. Simone was an excellent and very attentive host - after one dramatic thunderstorm he even came around the next morning to clear the pool of fallen pine leaves. He also organised for a local chef, Siria, to cook us a traditional Tuscan/Italian meal (Tiramisu was excellent!). He and his family keep the house and gardens spotless. We highly recommend a stay at Villa Mimosa!

Careful and friendly attention of the host
We spent 3 wonderful weeks in the house with our children and grandchildren, a total of 17 persons. The house and the surroundings are beautiful an well kept. We particularely appreciated the careful and friendly attention of the host Simone and his family, who took care of the pool daily and cleaned the house and changed linen every Saturday. When the electricity went out in a storm we were issued extra battery lamps. To mention also: Mrs. Siria, the cook recommended by Simone, who prepared exellent meals for us and also served the meals and afterwards took care of the dishes and the kitchen. We can recommend the house and its host wholeheartedly!

House full of character and family history
We had a large family week long reunion for my mother's 80th birthday, 16 people in total of 3 generations and Simone's house (mansion I should say), was just perfect. There is so much space to be together and separate inside and outside, many activities (ping pong, billiard) and the large beautiful swimming pool with deck chairs on both sides. the grounds are huge too. it was all much bigger and more spacious than we expected and everyone was really happy. Simone is incredibly friendly, helpful and genuinely keen to make our stay as best as it could be. Highly recommend
Villa Mimosa is simply a wonderful place to stay. The house and the grounds create a magnificent space to enjoy Tuscany. The house is well equipped, clean, tidy and spacious, whilst the grounds stretch as far as you can see, beautifully kept. The host is very helpful and will ensure you have everything you need. Beautiful even better than the photos
Villa Mimosa was beautiful, even better than the photos. The rooms were all a great size and the house itself had lots of space for a large group. It was spotless and had everything we could need . The gardens and pool were fantastic, it felt very private and it was lovely to be able to go for a walk around the grounds . We were a group of 8 adults and 3 children. The kids spent most of the time in the pool but they also loved the table tennis , and use was made of the bikes as well. The nearest town Lari is about a 10 minute drive, some of our group used the bikes to cycle into Lari one day too. It’s a very pretty town with fantastic views of the surrounding countryside from the castle walls. Simone gave us lots of helpful information and also some local restaurant recommendations and they were all great. We also had a meal cooked for us at the house one evening which was lovely, and another evening we made ourselves pizza in the outdoor pizza oven, that was a hit with the kids. Simone is a very friendly and helpful host and I’ve no hesitation in recommending Villa Mimosa.

Perfect for family reunion
We had a family reunion of 24 people, nine were aged six and under. We found Villa Mimosa to be very comfortable and welcoming to our family. The gardens are beautiful and well taken care of. The swimming pool was great entertainment and very refreshing in the warm weather. The cubby houses in the front of the house were perfect for the children to play in, while the adults relaxed and enjoyed the amazing view. We definitely recommend having a pizza party and using the pizza oven, the pizzas we made came out delicious. You can buy premade pizza dough from the supermarket about 15 minutes drive away. Simone is an excellent host, helping us to accommodate our entire family with extra beds in some of the rooms. He also helped us organise a bus company to take us on four day trips around Tuscany. We loved our stay at Villa Mimosa and would recommend to large groups of people who are looking to relax and enjoy Tuscany.

Es war eine herrliche Woche im Mai! Das Haus könnte romantischer nicht sein. Alles sauber, das Grundstück sehr großzügig und wunderbar gepflegt. Das Schwimmbad ist bei 28 Grad der Mittelpunkt des Tages, die Liegen bequem und der Pool wird 1 x die Woche gereinigt. The house is fantastic
We were a group of 8 adults and 4 children. We enjoyed! The house is fantastic, is in a beautiful place and Simone is a super host. He reserved a restaurant for us where we had a delicious meal. He also arranged for us to go to a winery for a tasting. Communication was flawless. We highly recommend this house and would like to come back in the future.

Phantastic Time
Wir hatten das Glück, diese schöne Villa für unseren Urlaub 2021 entdeckt zu haben. Sie ist traumhaft, sehr gepflegt (auch der riesige Außenbereich) und bietet unglaublich viel Platz und Möglichkeiten zum Entspannen, Genießen und Erholen. Hier Urlaub machen bedeutet die Toskana zu erleben. Der ideale Urlaubsort für große Familien, oder mehrere Familien (für Klein und Groß gibt es jeweils genug zu erleben). Trotz ruhiger Abgeschiedenheit gibt es alles für den täglichen Bedarf in der Nähe (ab 8 Autominuten). Das gesamte Anwesen ist beeindruckend – und das zu einem absolut fairen Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Das wäre schon für sich perfekt. Gekrönt wird der Urlaub aber durch Gastgeber, die sich in einer perfekten Mischung aus Distanz und Zuvorkommenheit persönlich um unser Wohl gekümmert haben. Weiter so Simone mit Familie! Villa Mimosa ist die perfekte location
Die Villa Mimosa ist die perfekte Location für einen herrlichen Familienurlaub. Wir waren mit insgesamt 11 Erwachsenen zu Gast und alle waren von der Ville, dem herrlichen Pool, dem perfekt gepflegten Garten, den Holz Pizzaöfen, und allem anderen begeistert. Simone, der Hausherr, ist der perfekte Gastgeber, hilfsbereit, freundlich und sehr sympatisch. Frau Siria wurde uns von Simone empfohlen und sie bekochte uns an einem Abend mit einem sehr guten und reichhaltigen 4 Gänge Menü. Wir können die Ville einfach nur empfehlen. Ich hoffe das wir wieder bald in der Villa Mimosa einchecken können. Schöne Grüße an Simone.

Wonderful, peaceful, beautiful house..
Three generations aged from 70years to 7 weeks all had the best time ever at this perfect family house. Plenty of space for everyone. The pool was a god send (weather was very hot!) and thoroughly enjoyed by all. A car is a necessity as the place is pretty remote - which is part of its charm. Simone and his family were perfect hosts and were at the end of a phone if we needed any help. Came home completely refreshed as we had, indeed, Relaxed in Nature. Hope to come back one day..

The villa is just beatiful. If you add the garden and the swimming pool you just land in tuscanian paradise! You can actually not leave this place at all and spend great vacation by reading books or drinking prosecco at the pool and having an Italian dinner in the outside dining room grillong fresh fish or bistecca (btw ask for Chef Siria’s availability!). But of course this is also a convenient starting point to go to Lucca, Pisa, Volterra or San Giminiano. And to the beaches! Simone is willing to help in every aspect and all time. He is really a nice person to deal with. The most accurate summary would be probably: we definitely have to come back to Villa Mimosa. And we will!

A wonderful place with amazing outside premises, well kept, great for children and the location super if you want to visit the most famous towns in Tuscany, such as Florence, Pisa, Lucca, Siena, San Gimignano, Volterra,... We spent a week there, but would have loved to stay longer.
We had our family reunion at the Villa Mimosa, 13 people ranging from age 2 to 70 years old. Simone is one of the best hosts we have met so far! He and his family are such wonderful, kind and happy people! They made us feel part of their family home! Simone was quick in answering with helpful tips or a helping hand and we could contact him about anything. Upon our arrival he even put up a brand new trampoline for the children! The kids loved it so much at the house that they complained whenever we went out sightseeing! The outside premises are amazing, so inviting it makes you want to stay outdoors all day. We tried out their pizza oven, which was a very special experience! Even though the weather was unfortunately not quite what we had hoped for, Simone and his amazing family villa made up for everything. A place we would definitely recommend to others.

Truly wonderful experience!
Villa mimosa is an amazing place! The house, garden, olive orchard, and swimming pool are all extremely beautifuland very well taken care of. Simone is a very welcoming host. We spent a week here for our parents 50th wedding anniversary and we couldn’t have picked a more perfect place! We are a (family)group of 17 people, ages 6 to 80, and we all thorougly enjoyed our stay! The house is very private too. Wonderfull views. Highly recommended!

Wonderful experience
We had a wonderful family wedding in Lari with both families staying at Simone's family home. We cannot rate this place highly enough. Simone could not have possibly done any more for us. He became a member of our family over the course of the week and we loved meeting his beautiful parents especially his dad who worked tirelessly to have the grounds looking fabulous for the wedding. Envie d'authenticité, c'est le lieu idéal, cette magnifique maison de caractère nous a permis de passer une superbe semaine en famille (22 personnes). La maison est vaste et très bien agencée, rien ne manque, salle de jeux pour les enfants, billard, jeux extérieurs... Jardin très bien entretenu avec salon, transat, pergola etc. Situation idéale pour les visites, Pise, Lucca, Florence, San Gimignano... Un grand merci à Simone pour son accueil et sa disponibilité qui ont contribués à la réussite de notre séjour.
A vacation that leaves and unbelievable impact on your life
It is hard to describe what an incredibly beautiful place Villa Mimosa is. From the moment you venture along the olive trees that line the drive up to the villa, to the warm greeting you get from the charming owner Simone your time here will feel like a dream come true. The villa is spacious, well equipped and very clean. We have come as a group of 16 and there are various little areas to escape on your own and wonderful gathering places. The scenery is tranquil and everything you expect from the Tuscany countryside. The nearby village of Lari is charming and only 3km away on a winding country road. But bring comfortable shoes as you are in the rolling hills of the Tuscany coun. Soft breezes fill the villa on warm afternoons and the out door eating space has all brought us the most enjoyable evening. Arrividerci

Wow - peaceful and entertaining
We all enjoyed our stay so much! There was something for everyone: pool and play area for the kids, billiard table and table tennis for the adults, outdoor dining, outdoor grill and oven, orchards for the nature lovers, private rooms and plenty of chairs for reading inside or by the pool. Our only regret was not inviting more people to share the experience! We were only 6 - 4 adults and 2 children - but there was room for another family or 2. Simone was more than helpful from his detailed driving directions to the villa to restaurant recommendations and personal service. We were welcomed by some delicious creamy pastries and a bottle of sparkling wine...mostly devoured the first night :) We had everything we needed in the kitchen for cooking (dishes, pans, serving ware, olive oil, seasonings, etc.), and there was plenty of toilet paper and napkins. The best gift we received, however, was the connection with in-house chef, Siria (sp?), who made and served 2 amazing dinners for us during the week. I would highly recommend hiring her at least once during your stay! Our children are small and not good swimmers so the little shallow pool was perfect for them. They stayed in there for hours making whirlpools and playing with water toys. The location was great for us, too, since we wanted to visit both Pisa and Florence. The airport was only 15-20 minutes away, and the train station we used to get to Florence (Pontedera) was about 25 minutes. The main grocery store was about 5-10 minutes depending on which location you choose. We also went to a Terrinia (sp?) beach, which was sparsely populated since it was late September on a Tuesday. The weather was fabulous - sunny, but not so hot that you sweat - a great time of year to visit. Overall, we had a perfect vacation and would happily stay again whenever we next visit Tuscany. Ideal villa for beauty, relaxing, proximity to sites and family togetherness
We just spent two amazing weeks at Villa Mimosa. Our group was a combination of friends and family, ranging from 13 to 60s. We ALL loved the villa AND our hosts, the La Rocca's. The villa itself is extremely comfortable (be ready for stairs!), and well equipped. We all love to cook and it had a great supply of cooking materials, dishes, glasses, etc. The pool is absolutely beautiful and very well arranged for relaxation. The grounds are incredibly beautiful. It is all perfect. Simone and his parents bent over backwards to help us find our way to restaurants, sites, even arranging a chef to come in and cook for us. We will definitely go back and can not recommend the Villa enough. The La Rocca's are such good, honest, kind people, excellent at thinking of little details that made the week perfect and helping us with every request. I'd live here if I could!

Very nice stay in this Tuscan Villa
we enjoyed our very nice stay in this villa in May 2015. Generous area with wonderful environment (olive trees, flowers, swimming pool, etc.). Several special facilities like pizza oven, table tennis, wine cellar, grill, gas grill, etc. Especially the swimming pool is wonderful (clean, environment, size, etc.). The owners are very friendly and customer oriented. We will definitely come again in future!

A most memorable family reunion. Maid service every other day. Garden service with pool cleaning. Signora Gemma as our cook with gourmet dinners very evening. Spacious, well maintained and private. Owners agreeable and accommodating. Must have multiple cars as the villa is remote.
